Jeromo Segura

Jeromo Segura was born on April 16, 1979 in the City of Huelva. Self-taught flamenco singing until the year 2000 in which he was among the finalists of the “Fandangos Joven de Huelva Contest”, he obtained a scholarship at the Cristina Heeren Foundation that allowed him to study with the teachers Naranjito de Triana and José de la Tomasa among others . He began his professional career as a cantaor and in parallel combined it with Flamenco recitals at Festivals while singing to accompany the most recognized dancers.

In summer 2013, he won the, “ Mining Lamp”, the highest award of the 53rd edition of the International Festival of Cante de las Minas de La Unión, Murcia.

He is currently working on the most important stages in Spain and Europe as first figure of Cante.

In December 2014, Jeromo Segura closed a year of success in the Congressional Palace of the Casa Colón de Huelva with the distinction of “Onubense of the Year”, an award that is awarded annually to the most representative and outstanding figures of the year, from Huelva.

At present day, the artist is touring his fourth album “Lo que yo quiero”, the album with which he has always dreamt of, helped by Juan Carlos Romero. He combines his numerous performances with his presence on the stage of “Casa de la Memoria”.
